The Challenge
This hospice-dedicated pharmacy expanded their services and Am-Tran needed to maintain on-time stat deliveries. During the initial period (September 2024 through March 2025), on-time percentages were below expectations, with only 3 out of 27 weeks meeting the stat goal and an average on-time rate of 93.64%. Additionally, the expansion led to a higher cost per stat, creating both an opportunity and a challenge in balancing efficiency and service quality.

Our Solution
Am-Tran recognized that the increased price per stat could fund additional employee drivers. By implementing a strategy to onboard and deploy these drivers, Am-Tran increased operational capacity and coverage. This allowed the team to meet on-time expectations more consistently while maintaining high service standards.

Results
The strategy had an immediate impact. From April 2025 to October 2025, Am-Tran met the stat goal 18 out of 27 weeks, achieving a 97.4% average on-time rate. Year-over-year, the pharmacy’s on-time stats improved from 87.74% in 2024 to 96.64% in 2025.
